Course Description

This course is aimed at anyone who has a basic understanding of computers and who wish to expand and improve on this knowledge and gain accreditation with QQI Level 4.

At the end of this course the user will be proficient in key computer packages such as databases, spreadsheets and graphical design.

Course Content

INTRODUCTION TO DATABASES

- Create a database structure
- Enter data and organize databases
- Query and modify databases
- Load, save and print databases

INTRODUCTION TO SPREADSHEETS

- Enter text/numeric data
- Format cells
- Use formula and functions
- Modify and sort spreadsheet
- Load, save and print spreadsheet

INTRODUCTION TO GRAPHICS

- Produce basic geometric shapes
- Freehand drawing
- Enter, edit and enhance text
- Load, save and print drawings

Duration / Accreditation

Duration: approx. 30 hours (directed learning)
