This course provides the learner with the knowledge, skills and competency required to provide and organise first aid in the workplace in compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007.
The specific requirements for first aid provision at work depends on several factors including the size of the workplace, the numbers employed, the hazards arising, dispersal of employees and access to medical services. The presence of trained first-aiders in the workplace provides peace of mind to staff and helps to reduce the effects and seriousness of any accidents or injuries that may occur.
The course is delivered and certified by a P.H.E.C.C.qualified instructor and is valid for 2 years
Upon successful completion the learner will received a P.H.E.C.C. First Aid Responder Course
A 2 day refresher course is required then to keep the qualification valid. Refresher courses are required to be completed before the 2 year period on the F.A.R. has elapsed.
