DESCRIPTION:Abrasive Wheels Course\nThe Abrasive Wheels Course\, delivered by a certified instructor\, is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely use\, inspect and maintain abrasive wheels in the workplace. \nThe course focuses on the safe operation of abrasive wheel equipment and helps participants understand the potential hazards and risks associated with their use. It covers the correct selection\, handling\, storage\, mounting and inspection of abrasive wheels\, as well as the importance of following safe working procedures. \nParticipants will learn about abrasive wheel types\, wheel markings\, machine components\, guarding\, wheel selection\, mounting and balancing\, pre-use inspections\, personal protective equipment (PPE)\, workplace hazards and accident prevention. \nThe course also highlights the importance of complying with relevant health and safety legislation and manufacturer’s instructions when operating abrasive wheel equipment. \nCourse Topics\n\nTypes and applications of abrasive wheels.\nIdentifying abrasive wheel hazards and associated risks.\nCorrect selection of abrasive wheels.\nWheel markings and specifications.\nSafe storage\, handling and transportation.\nInspection and testing of abrasive wheels.\nCorrect mounting\, balancing and dressing procedures.\nMachine guarding and safety requirements.\nPre-use checks and safe operating procedures.\nAppropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).\nAccident prevention and emergency procedures.\nRelevant workplace health and safety requirements.\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, participants will receive an Abrasive Wheels Certificate\, valid for three years. \nCourse Requirements\nParticipants must: \n\nhave a good standard of spoken and written English\nbe 16 years of age or older\nbring valid photo identification\nwear appropriate clothing and suitable footwear for practical training\n\n  \nFor more information on our Abrasive Wheels Course\, CLICK HERE
