Course Description
This course is designed for anyone who owns a smartphone, tablet, iPad or laptop computer and would like to feel more confident and comfortable using their device. It is particularly suited to those who prefer a relaxed, one-to-one learning experience rather than the formality of a traditional classroom-based course.
Whether you are already using your smart device on a daily basis or are just getting started, the course will help you understand not only how to use your device, but also what you are doing and why. You can ask questions at your own pace and focus on the areas that are most relevant to you.
The course covers Android smartphones and tablets, iPhones and iPads, and laptop computers, and is delivered on a one-to-one basis with an experienced and knowledgeable tutor. This personalised approach allows the training to be tailored to your individual needs, helping you build confidence and make the most of your technology.
Course Content
Can include, but is not limited to –
- Device settings and security
- Using the World Wide Web
- Installing, deleting and sorting Apps
- Accessing Government services online
- Booking tickets and flights
- Driving licence and Passport renewals

- Anyone who has a Smartphone, Tablet or Laptop and would like to learn more about how to use it.
Assessment
- There is no formal assessment for this course
Entry Requirements
Participants must:
- have a good understanding of both written and verbal English.
- have their own Smart Device that they should bring with them.
- bring photo ID with them.
