Experienced Forklift Truck Course

The Experienced Forklift Truck Course, delivered by an RTITB-certified instructor, is designed for operators who have previous forklift experience and require official certification or re-certification. The course reinforces safe operating practices, refreshes essential knowledge and skills, and ensures participants are familiar with current workplace health and safety requirements.

Training covers key areas including pre-use inspections, forklift stability, load handling, manoeuvring, workplace hazards, safe operating procedures and accident prevention.

The course combines theory and practical training, followed by both theory and practical assessments to ensure participants can operate a forklift truck safely, efficiently and competently.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Forklift Truck Certificate, which is valid for three years.

Renewal Course – Important Information

For operators who currently hold a valid forklift certificate that has not expired by more than six months, the renewal course will be one day in duration, and a discounted course fee will apply.  Please speak to a member of our Customer Care Team for further details.

Course Requirements

Participants must:

• have a good standard of spoken and written English
• be 16 years of age or older
• bring valid photo identification
• bring their current forklift certificate if doing a renewal, provided it has not expired more than six months ago
