Novice Forklift Truck Course

The Novice Forklift Truck Course is designed for individuals with little or no previous experience operating forklift trucks. The course provides comprehensive theoretical and practical training in the safe operation, handling and manoeuvring of forklift trucks within the workplace.

Participants will develop an understanding of key areas including forklift controls, stability, load handling, workplace hazards, pre-use inspections, safe operating procedures, and relevant health and safety requirements.

The course combines classroom-based theory with practical training and concludes with theory and practical assessments to ensure participants have the knowledge, skills and competence required to operate a forklift truck safely.

This course is delivered by an RTITB-certified instructor.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Forklift Truck Certificate, which is valid for three years.

Course Requirements

Participants must:

• have a good standard of spoken and written English
• be 16 years of age or older
• bring valid photo identification
