AONTAS, the National Adult Learning Organisation, are now seeking articles for the Irish Journal of Adult and Community Education: The Adult Learner. This peer-reviewed journal documents the growth and development of adult learning policy and practice in Ireland. The deadline for submitting an article is Friday 27th January 2023.
For the 2023 edition, AONTAS welcome any article of critical reflection on the practices of teaching and learning, in particular those that address disadvantage, social exclusion, equality, workplace learning, and the study of the teacher and student relationship. Submissions can come from students and first-time writers, as well as more experienced authors.
If you would like to submit an article for consideration, AONTAS have two online Writers Workshops coming up to help you:
- Workshop 1: Style Guide and Developing Articles will run from 10am to 11.30am on Wednesday 30th November 2022. The focus will be on selecting a topic, and understanding the appropriate writing style and conventions for The Adult Learner.
- Workshop 2: Finalising Articles will run from 10am to 11.30am on Wednesday 11th January 2023. The focus will be on how to refine developed theory articles or practice articles before the submission deadline.
The workshops will be led by the Journal editors, and previous contributors will also be there to answer any questions. You can register for one, or both, of the workshops at the links above.
