City and Guilds

City & Guilds is the UK & Ireland’s leading awarding body, offering more than 500 qualifications across 28 industry sectors. City & Guilds also operates in approximately 100 other countries and is recognised worldwide.  They have a long history in Ireland, having the first formal arrangement in 1902 with the then Department of Agriculture & Technical Instruction. There is a dedicated team in place to support local centres, agencies, employers and learners across Ireland.

PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council)

The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council protects the public by independently specifying, reviewing, maintaining and monitoring standards of excellence for the safe provision of quality pre-hospital emergency care.  The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) is an independent statutory agency with responsibility for standards, education and training in the field of pre-hospital emergency care.

QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland)

QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) is an independent State agency responsible for promoting quality and accountability in education and training services in Ireland. It was established in 2012 by the Quality and Qualifications Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012.

ICDL Ireland (International Computer Driving Licence)

ICDL Ireland is part of a global family of ICDL national operators connected by the ICDL Foundation, an international organisation dedicated to raising digital competence standards in the workforce, education and society.  ICDL certification programmes, delivered through an active network of Accredited Test Centres located in every county in Ireland, enable individuals and organisations to assess, build and certify their competence in the use of computers and digital tools to the globally-recognised ICDL standard.

SOLAS

Solas is a state organisation with responsibility for funding, planning and co-ordinating Further Education and Training (FET) in Ireland.  Their mission is to fund, co-ordinate and monitor a range of FET provisions to ensure economic and social wellbeing, and to play their part in progressing, influencing and supporting the development of a FET sector that is innovative, flexible and demand-led and more responsive to the needs of learners and employers.
